Pride Resource Partners Welcomes First International Intern – David Piatek, B.S. Business Administration and Finance

Pride Resource Partners welcomes David Piatek to our San Diego office for the month of September. David is a resident of Hamburg, Germany, where he is completing his B.S. in Business Administration and Finance at the University of Hamburg, an institution going back exactly 100 years.

As Pride’s first intern, David is focused on supporting business operations, including the human resources and accounting departments. Once finished, David will have been exposed to the integral hiring processes of the company, learned critical skills in developing financial data reports, and actively engaged in auditing processes to support the company’s mission. When asked what most interests him, he responded, “To be invited to assist the HR manager in their candidate selection process was a great experience as this gave me first insight into the backstage decisions of the HR department. Not only will it help me in building up my own interview skills, but also in developing more improved resume writing skills…. I was able to show my real talents when asked to provide financial analysis and reviews to the operations manager. It has given me insight into the effort put forth to provide the best services for Pride Resource Partners and their clients…. Pride has given me deeper understanding of daily operations and different aspects of management.”

When asked what drew him to Pride Resource Partners, he replied, “I was so lucky to get an internship at Pride. I know the competition was tough to begin with. I’m just thrilled to get the opportunity to practice my studies and apply them to the real world, something the college environment lacks…. I am super excited to learn more with Pride and their fantastic engaging and welcoming staff and hope to take this experience to the next level.”

Starting this fall semester, David will pursue an MBA program specializing in Finance. His future goals include securing a management-level finance position, as well as receiving more exposure to opportunities in project management.
