Electrical Substation Phase Shifting Transformer
Installation of two phase-shifting transformers with a dual-tank design. The upgrade will optimally control the power flow in the transmission system between a 230-kV line operating in parallel with two 500-kV transmission lines. The phase-shifting transformers will enable the client to retard the power flow to push more power on the transmission lines. In addition, the client will be able to limit the power flow to 800 MVA when one of the 500-kV transmission lines is out of service.
